Salt Spray Test

 

Salt spray test is an accelerated corrosion test that produces a corrosive attack to the modules in order to predict its ability to withstand  extremely salty outdoor conditions based on IEC 60068-2-52 and IEC 61701.

-Severity Level 1:
(Marine Environment), 7 Days Humidity Chamber (4 cycles: 680 hrs total)

-Severity Level 3:
20-22 hrs (4 cycles: 96 hrs total) Humidity Chamber followed by Storage of 3 Days at 23°C and 45% - 50% R.H.

-Severity Level 4:
20-22 hrs (8 cycles: 192 hrs total) Humidity Chamber followed by Storage of 3 Days at 23°C and 45% - 50% R.H.

-Severity Level 5:
20-22 hrs (16 cycles: 384 hrs total) Humidity Chamber followed by Storage of 3 Days at 23°C and 45% - 50% R.H.

-Severity Level 6:
20-22 hrs (32 cycles: 768 hrs total) Humidity Chamber followed by Storage of 3 Days at 23°C and 45% - 50% R.H.

-Severity Level 2:
NA for PV Modules
