RETC Appoints Industry Veteran Selena Jesser as VP of Sales and Marketing

Renewable energy testing and certification firm expands leadership team as the solar industry increases focus on long-term reliability and manufacturing quality.

(Fremont, Calif., June 2, 2026) RETC, part of the VDE group, today announced Selena Jesser as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Jesser brings more than 15 years of experience helping renewable energy companies navigate compliance, certification, and market-entry requirements across the global Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry. In her new role, she aims to expand RETC's market presence and strengthen relationships with stakeholders seeking independent technical data to support procurement and investment decisions, including manufacturers and developers, as well as financiers and insurers.

"Selena has a keen ability to see the industry through the eyes of the customer," said Cherif Kedir, CEO of RETC. "She understands the challenges manufacturers face, the decisions they have to make, and the pressures they're under. Her unique perspective will help RETC continue delivering services that solve real problems and create meaningful value for the industry."

Before joining RETC, Jesser served as Director of Business Development at Intertek CEA. There, she led a global commercial team focused on technical advisory services for the renewable energy sector, including supply chain risk, traceability, and market intelligence programs, while overseeing a commercial pipeline exceeding $10 million per month. Jesser also spent more than a decade assisting manufacturers in managing certification and compliance requirements while supporting product readiness, performance validation, and market-entry efforts. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and other industry standards bodies, building trusted relationships across the renewable energy value chain.

“What attracted me to RETC was its reputation for technical excellence and the trust it has built across the industry,” said Jesser. “As solar continues to mature, stakeholders need reliable and independent data to make informed decisions. RETC’s objective insight into reliability, quality, and long-term performance is exactly what the industry needs as it becomes an even larger part of critical energy infrastructure. I’m excited to build on RETC’s strong foundation and help expand its impact even further.”

Jesser and other RETC team members are attending SNEC 2026, taking place June 3–5, at Shanghai New International Expo Center in Shanghai, China. To schedule a meeting with the RETC team at the show, reach out to info@retc.com or visit www.retc-ca.com.
